Business Management degrees abroad
Business management is a popular degree program to study at university, especially for international students. It can give you a wide ranging education that can lead to a number of career opportunities after graduation. Business management can share a lot of similarities with other programs like business administration, but focuses on organization and the management of people and operations.
Business management programs are offered at universities and business schools all over the world, so you will have many options to choose from. Think carefully about where you want to study, including which destination could offer the best career opportunities after graduation.
Studying business management abroad will expose you to different business practices, which can help your overall understanding of the subject. It’s also a great chance to meet new people, experience a whole new culture and improve your language skills.
Business Management program structure
Undergraduate business management programs are available at associate and bachelor’s level. You can study a bachelor’s as BA or BSc degree, with very little difference between the two, other than the BA may be more theory based, and the BSc more practical. Bachelor’s in business management typically take three or four years to complete.
A number of undergraduate programs offer a year in industry or placement year, where you can get hands on experience in work. Some degrees are also available as joint honors and combine business management with other subjects like leadership, human resources or international relations.
At postgraduate level, a master’s in business management is available as an MA or MSc, and you can choose to study a specific area like business management and innovation, or international business management.
The content and structure of business management programs will differ depending on the university, but there are some core areas you can expect to see on any course.
