Scholarships at Bath Spa University
An automatic scholarship for international students from the Asia Pacific region (China has its own separate scheme) who are enrolling on a three-year undergraduate programme, a one-year postgraduate programme at Bath campuses, or the MBA at the London campus. Awards £2,000 (Bath campuses) or £4,000 (MBA London), granted automatically once an offer is accepted — no separate application needed.
A discretionary emergency financial support fund for EU (pre-settled) and international fee-paying students, at undergraduate and postgraduate level (including final-year and one-year master's students), who face temporary financial hardship from unforeseen circumstances after starting their course. The fund is limited in size and cannot guarantee awards; it does not cover costs that should have been planned for before enrolment, and applicants must first have exhausted other funding sources.
An automatic scholarship for international students (outside the UK, excluding China) enrolling on undergraduate or postgraduate programmes at Bath Spa's Bath-based campuses (or the MBA at the London campus). Awards £2,000 (Bath campuses) or £4,000 (MBA London) towards first-year tuition fees. No separate application is required once an offer has been accepted.
A part-fee waiver of £3,000 off first-year tuition fees, with three awards for 2026/27. Open to international students (UK/EU excluded) from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama and Peru at postgraduate taught master's level, and for Mexican nationals specifically both undergraduate and postgraduate applicants are eligible. Candidates must show high academic achievement and commitment to creativity, culture and enterprise in Latin America; applicants must already hold a confirmed offer.
Up to three awards of £500 each for 2025/26, open to international students from Commonwealth countries (outside the UK) enrolled as undergraduate or postgraduate students at the Newton Park, Sion Hill or Locksbrook campuses. Not open to UK home students, exchange students, distance learners, or students at partner institutions. Funded by the Royal Commonwealth Society's Bath and District Branch; eligible students are contacted directly to apply via an online form and a 500-word statement.
Open to international students from Commonwealth countries (outside the UK) whose primary residence is outside the UK, fully enrolled in the first year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Bath Spa's main campuses. For 2025/26 one undergraduate award of £9,500 and one postgraduate award of £3,000 are expected to be given, disbursed over the course of the degree. Not available to students on partner-institute, exchange, or distance-learning routes.
