Liberal Arts program structure

Liberal arts can be studied at bachelor's, master’s, or PhD levels. Many universities allow students to study liberal arts as a sole subject, some even offer combined programs, allowing you to study it alongside another subject, like philosophy or sociology.

At undergraduate level, a liberal arts degree usually takes three or four years to complete. Some programs offer placement years, allowing students to work or study overseas.

Postgraduate liberal arts programs are largely offered as an MA, they generally last around one to two years. Once you have a master’s qualification, you’ll be eligible to study a PhD course if you wish to, which are around three to five years long,
