Funding
Barbara and Jamar Mears Scholarship This is a USD$250 scholarship awarded once a year in the Spring. Applicants must have a declared major and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher attending College of Alameda. The donor will require recipients to share a picture of themselves upon award notification.
Diesel Mechanics Tool Scholarship This USD$500 scholarship award was created to help Diesel Mechanic students meet the expenses of tuition and purchase tools needed to successfully complete the Diesel Mechanic Program at College of Alameda.
Environment & Sustainability Scholarship Alameda Power & Telecom and the College of Alameda share related goals to sustainability, energy, energy-efficiency, workforce development, community development, curriculum development, and public relations. With funds from Alameda Power & Telecom this $350 scholarship is intended for a student who has completed or is currently taking an Environmental Management Technology course.
PACLA Scholarship, COA This is a USD$500 scholarship awarded once a year in the Spring to students. This scholarship is intended to be awarded to a Chicano/Latino student enrolled at College of Alameda. Preference will be given to, but not limited to AB540 Students.
Patti Heimburger AAUW College of Alameda Scholarship This is a scholarship funded by the AAUW of Alameda in Memory of Patti Heimburger. This scholarship is intended to be awarded to a second-year or later student whose home campus is the College of Alameda. The student should have completed at least 24 units with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Priority will be given to Alameda residents. There are four USD$5,000 scholarships awarded once a year in Spring.
