Organizational Management program structure
Organizational management degrees are available at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and are mainly offered at US universities, but can also be found in the UK and Australia. Programs that cover similar areas include organizational communications, organizational behavior, and organizational leadership.
At bachelor’s level, programs are available as a BSc or a BA, depending on the precise program you choose. For example, organizational communication programs are usually offered as BA, whereas organizational leadership is usually available as a BSc.
If you do choose to study in the US, you’ll study in an undergraduate program for four years. You can study a range of subjects before declaring your major in organizational management.
If you already have a bachelor’s degree in a related field or have several years of work experience, you can choose to study a master’s in organizational management. Programs are available as an MBA, MSc, or MComm (Master of Communication), and typically take either one or two years to complete.
Teaching methods will vary across programs and modules, but you can expect to attend lectures, seminars, and workshops. Many organizational management programs will also include a year in industry where you can gain hands on experience in a business workplace.
