What the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria says about their program:
"Increasing volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity of a company's environment make it more and more challenging to develop innovative products, services and business models.
Future innovation and product managers therefore need to apply a broad set of skills, combining the disciplines of marketing, design, technology and strategic management - which is the main focus of this Master's degree programme. Moreover, students are equipped with the latest academic knowledge in the areas of agile management, entrepreneurship and sustainability. All aspects of holistic innovation and product management are taught both theoretically and practically, encompassing several projects together with leading companies.
Product Concept Design: Design-centered factors represent in many cases key potential for differentiation and efficiency of mechatronic products. As a future product concept designer, you learn to consider goal-orientated and resource-friendly ergonomic, functional and aesthetic aspects in the idea and concept phase."
At least 6-semester relevant Bachelor’s degree or comparable academic qualification (min. 180 ECTS or equivalent) from a recognised tertiary education institution is required.
There is a Merit Based Scholarship for excellently performing students. It can be awarded to international students to recognise prior achievement and performance during studies. It becomes available only after the first semester and a successful completion of a German language course per semester is required.
Many international students will require a visa to study in Austria, and this is a vital step of your study abroad journey. Make sure you understand the requirements you may need to meet before applying.
