What Stephen F. Austin State University says about their program:
"Speech-Language Pathology is one of several programs offered in the Department of Human Services. The program offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees that meet the requirements for state licensure and national certification in speech-language pathology. The Stanley Center for Speech and Language Disorders is located on the 2nd floor of the Human Services building where students participate in supervised clinical practicum experiences. Students are provided with a practical hands-on approach to training that includes an emphasis on integration of evidence-based practice. They perform on-site speech, language, and hearing evaluations and work with clients of all ages to assess, diagnose and treat various communication disorders. Externship sites are also available where students have the opportunity to work with a variety of individuals across the lifespan in public schools, as well as medical settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, state schools, and home health agencies."
