Student reviews for biology in the USA
I study Biology at the University of North Georgia, and the program has been both challenging and rewarding. The lectures are structured around a strong mix of theory and application—everything from molecular biology to ecology is taught with real-world examples and lab-based reinforcement. Most professors are deeply passionate about their fields, approachable, and willing to explain complex concepts until you actually get them, not just until the clock runs out. The course structure builds logically: core foundational courses early on, then specialized classes and labs that demand more independent work and analysis. The workload can be heavy, especially during lab weeks, but it’s manageable with discipline and curiosity. UNG provides great academic resources—modern labs, tutoring centers, Supplemental Instruction sessions, and faculty who genuinely want you to succeed. Tuition is reasonable for the quality of education and facilities you get. Overall, the Biology program here pushes you to think critically, manage your time, and actually understand how science fits into life, not just memorize it for exams.

I am studying Master's in Biology and the lecturers are good and the tution is affordable.
Biology major with minors in healthcare humanities and healthcare psychology. Great program! Biology classes interplay with my research outside of school.
I was in the biology department. I spent most of my time taking classes in the science building. The lectures were high quality and the material was engaging. Our classes were small which means that the instructor had more time for students
