William Paterson University (WPU), is a public institution located in Wayne, New Jersey, US. It is home to more than 10,000 students, and offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs through its five academic colleges: arts and communication, business, education, humanities and social sciences, and science and health.

Its 370-acre wooded campus is just 20 miles from New York City, and three miles from the historic Paterson Great Falls. The University offers a range of learning facilities including classrooms, laboratories, and studios throughout the campus, as well as at various off-campus locations.

The University has 13 intercollegiate sports and athletics teams that compete in NCAA Division III. They play basketball, soccer, softball, field hockey, golf, among others.

The office provides assistance to international students and visitors with visa applications, on-campus employment, scholarships and financial aid, and cultural and social opportunities. You’ll take part in orientation before the start of term, which is a great way to learn about campus life.

William Paterson maintains a generous merit scholarship program for incoming freshman and transfer applicants. Each year close to 2,000 scholarships are awarded totalling over $7 million.
