Baylor University is a private Christian university and a nationally ranked research institution, located in Waco, Texas, US. Founded in 1845, it’s one of the oldest universities in Texas and it provides a vibrant campus community for more than 16,000 students.
As an international student you can attend the University’s International Study Center, which provides pathway programs designed to prepare you for a degree program at Baylor.
The international year program is equivalent to your first year of an undergraduate degree; it is delivered over two or three semesters, depending on your level of English language. You can then choose from a wide range of undergraduate degree options, with 142 majors to choose from.
Located on campus, you’ll be a part of university life from the start, with access to all the facilities Baylor has to offer. These include classrooms equipped with the latest learning technology, quiet study areas, group workspaces, modern research facilities and a well-stocked library.

All first year international students must live in the residence halls on campus for at least one academic year. This will help you to settle in to life at Baylor, meet other students, make friends, and get involved with the campus community. You’ll also be close to all campus amenities like dining halls, classrooms, and libraries.
There are more than 330 clubs and organizations you can join and be part of at Baylor, including things like rock climbing, rowing, academic clubs, faith groups, and sorority and fraternity life.
