AU's sports and athletics teams are known as the Tigers, and they compete in the prestigious Division I of the NCAA, the highest level of intercollegiate athletics. AU’s International Student Organization (ISO) aims to improve multinational understanding and promote relationships between people of different cultures. The ISO also helps international students adapt to life at Auburn, and they actively promote diversity and interaction between students from both home and abroad.
There are also a range of events the ISO organize, including cultural shows, soccer tournaments, outdoor socials, international movie nights and an international show on radio. Accommodation is available to all international students studying at AU, with 32 residence halls available in nine neighborhoods.
