Life as an international student

Fees and funding

Fee information

  • Undergraduate tuition: £13,000 per year
  • Postgraduate diploma: £12,400 per year
  • Postgraduate taught degree: £13,000 per year
  • Integrated master's final year: £13,000 per year
  • Two year master's: £7,500 per year

Funding

Undergraduate requirements:

Global Excellence Scholarship

  • Amount - £1,500 or £2,000 in your first year of study
  • Requirements - For international fee-paying student studying on a foundation, undergraduate or postgraduate program.

Vice Chancellor's Scholarship

  • Amount - a one-time payment of £5,000 is allocated as a fee waiver in the first year of study.
  • Requirements - For outstanding students who can demonstrate their skills and commitment to becoming future global leaders.

Teesside University Advance

  • Amount - Apple iPad, iPad compatible keyboard, over £200 credit for learning resources, lecture-capture technology across campus so you can access recordings of lectures at any time, from anywhere
  • Requirements - Available for all full-time students enrolling on Year 0 or Year 1 of a full-time undergraduate course.

Postgraduate requirements:

Women in STEM

  • Amount - £35,000
  • Requirements - Women from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka beginning master’s programs in, MSc Electrical Power and Energy Systems and MSc Environmental Management.

Commonwealth Scholarship

  • Amount - Fully covered tuition fees
  • Requirements - This scholarship is offered to candidates from low and middle income Commonwealth countries, to undertake full-time taught master’s study at a UK university.

British Council GREAT Scholarships

  • Amount - £10,000
  • Requirements - 6 Scholarships available to students from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand enrolling in postgraduate programs in the academic year 2021/2022. No separate scholarship application is necessary.
