The mathematics department at Wilkes is small, and so are the classes. The focus is mentorship, with faculty working one-on-one with you to determine your career goals and to focus on mathematical areas of interest to you.
The Wilkes mathematics program gives you the option of three different tracks to pursue. The standard track will prepare you for graduate study, research and careers in industry or government; the computational track is if you have an interest in computer science; and teacher certification prepares you to teach mathematics in secondary school.
