Undergraduate academic requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited high school
  • Recipient of a GED certificate or other High School Equivalency certificate
  • At least 18 years old and capable of benefiting from college-level instruction. High school students must be at least 16 years old at the time of registration and submit a completed high school authorization form

English requirements

  • TOEFL iBT: 71

English proficiency waivers

Fee information

Funding

Student Government Association Book Scholarship

  • Amount: US$200 per year
  • Requirements: Minimum GPA of 2.5 and be currently enrolled at Moraine Valley. Submit one letter of recommendation from a faculty member or Moraine Valley staff.

Faculty Association Scholarships

  • Amount: Up to $500, dependent on funds and number of qualified applicants
  • Requirements: Completed 25 credit hours in a transfer or career program at Moraine Valley, maintained at least a 3.4 GPA, are currently enrolled, have obtained the signature of a full-time faculty member, and are enrolled at Moraine Valley during the semester the scholarship is awarded

Student Life Award of Excellence

  • Amount: US$1,000
  • Requirements: Must be involved in Student Life Office program(s) and have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA, with completion of at least six credit hours per semester. Must complete essay and provide 2 sealed letters of recommendation from Moraine Valley faculty, staff or administration.
