As part of the Art, Design and Performance School at BNU, you’ll benefit from a practiced-based course, supported by contextual studies. Undergraduate academic requirements

  • We require successful completion of a high school diploma or of two full A-levels, or equivalent
  • A typical offer will require a UCAS tariff score of

    88 - 112 (to a Full-time program) or 32 - 56 (to the Foundation Year program)

  • Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements for the three-year undergraduate program, or those who do not feel fully prepared for a degree course, can apply for a four-year program including a Foundation Year

Some programs (such as Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work and Operating Department Practice) frequently require a higher tariff for entry which can be found on the relevant course page.

  • IELTS Academic: 6.0 (with minimum of 5.5 in all areas)
  • TOEFL iBT: 80 (with minimum of 17 in Listening, 17 in Writing, 20 in Speaking and 18 in reading)
  • PTE Academic: 50 in all areas
  • Cambridge (CAE): Minimum overall score of 176, with no less than 169 in any component
  • Trinity ISE: II

Postgraduate

  • IELTS: 6.5 (overall with minimum of 6.0 in all areas)
  • TOEFL iBT: 88 (with minimum of 17 in Listening, 17 in Writing, 20 in Speaking and 18 in reading)
  • PTE Academic: 59 overall (with minimum of 50 in all areas)
  • Cambridge (CAE): Minimum overall score of 176, with no less than 169 in any component
  • Trinity ISE: II

*Please note any English qualifications needs to be taken within 2 years. In some instances, courses may involve professional accreditation which requires a higher level of English language than included in the table above and a specific English test.

Fee information

  • Undergraduate tuition: £15,000 per year
  • Postgraduate tuition: from £15,400 to £19,250 per program

Funding

Vice Chancellor’s International Student Scholarship

  • If you’re a self-funded International Student paying overseas fees, you may qualify for a scholarship of £1,500 on your first year of study with us.
  • Applicants must hold an offer from Buckinghamshire New University for a full-time taught degree programme, starting in September 2023, February 2024 or April 2024.
  • You do not need to complete an application form to be considered for this scholarship.

International Early Payment Discount

  • In addition to our Vice-Chancellor’s International Student Scholarship, we are also pleased to offer an International Early Payment Discount of £500 for full payment of fees before the discount deadline.

Scholarships for January Intake

  • IMBA, MSc Cyber Security, and LLM programs offer a £5,000 reduction.
  • All other Postgraduate programs offer a £3,000 reduction.
  • Undergraduate programs offer a £1,500 reduction.
