What Brenau University says about their program:
"Nurture your talent and passion for dance in a collaborative environment full of dedicated individuals just like you. Brenau’s Bachelor of Arts in Dance program will set you up to receive work as an artist both on and off the stage. You’ll explore different angles of the field, including how to start your own studio or business, and how to promote yourself as a professional artist, scholar, and choreographer. When you finish the program, you’ll graduate prepared to pursue a dance career and change lives through your art."
These scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement and merit at the high school level. Recipients typically have an SAT score of 1000 or better or an ACT composite score of 21 or better, accompanied by a 3.0-grade point average in a college-preparatory curriculum. The Brenau Scholarship Committee will determine the award based on these minimum criteria and the level of coursework attempted by the applicant.
Student-athletes who play on varsity basketball, soccer, swimming, softball, tennis, volleyball, cross country or track and field teams may apply for athletic scholarships. The scholarships are based on try-outs and recommendations by coaches
Different programs offer scholarships based on audition, GPA and/or portfolio review. Nursing, Dance, Theatre, Music, Studio Art, and Interior Design may offer scholarships to qualified candidates.
