Program overview

What Walsh University says about their program:
"A Communication degree is a good fit for creative people with strong writing skills. Communication is a broad field that includes the study of public speaking and rhetoric, communication at a personal level and the mass media such as film, television and the Internet. Because effective communication is a vital part of any endeavor, graduates can leverage a Communication degree to pursue a wide range of careers.

The Communication curriculum at Walsh is a pre-professional program that works to prepare our students to pursue careers in communication professions. Students may choose to specialize in areas such as Advertising & Public Relations, Broadcast Communication, Digital Media and Print Journalism. We focus our Communications program on helping our students apply the skills and theories from their coursework to real-world situations, like internships and service-learning projects. As part of the Walsh University mission, we place a great deal of focus on the ethical practice of communication. Walsh University features newly built labs where students can gain experience with graphic design, video production and editing, podcasts and other media."
