What Rose Bruford College says about their program:
"A programme that allows you to explore your experience as a theatremaker and to develop your existing practice.
The programme focuses specifically on creating an ensemble, performer training, theatre-making and performative writing, informed by critical reflection and practice research.
The uniqueness of the programme lies in its focus on making theatre as a performer, director and writer.
Why choose this course?
Expert training: You will have the opportunity to learn and work with world-leading creatives
Professional-experience: This programme is an opportunity to explore your experience as a theatremaker and to develop your existing practice. You can come from any discipline including film, performance, dance, design, live art or writing.
Ensemble practice: You will carefully explore creation. The programme takes a physical approach to making theatre and working with text. It will begin by developing the group to form an ensemble and concentrating on the development of the skills of the company's individual members."
Applicants for Master's Programmes will be expected to have a good undergraduate degree in a related subject area. The College also encourages applications from those without formal qualifications who may be accepted based on professional experience.
Each year, Rose Bruford award one bursary to an international student as they commence their study on an undergraduate program within its Design, Management, and Technical Arts (DMTA).
The bursaries, with a value of £2,000 each year for three years (total £6,000) are part of the College’s commitment to making high-quality professional training and education in theatre and the entertainment industries available to students from anywhere in the world.
International students, who have international student fee status and have been offered a place on a DMTA program may apply for the bursary before starting their studies.
Many international students will require a visa to study in the UK, and this is a vital step of your study abroad journey. Make sure you understand the requirements you may need to meet before applying.
