Admission Requirements

Postgraduate academic requirements

  • A cumulative GPA of 3.00 (on a 4.33 scale) or better in a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university OR successful completion of UCW’s MBA Foundation (MBAF) with a GPA of 3.00

and one of the following:

  • A suitable score on a Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) that has been written in the last five (5) years.
  • A relevant Canadian professional designation or equivalent international designation (e.g., CPA, CA, CGA, CMA, CHRP or P.Eng).
  • Bachelor degree in business (e.g., Business Administration [BBA] degree or Bachelor Commerce [BCom] from a recognized university).
  • A minimum of three (3) years documented professional or management experience with evidence of career progression and relevant education and/or training.

English proficiency

  • IELTS: 6.5 (writing 6.0)
  • TOEFL: 88 (writing 20)

English proficiency waivers

  • BC English 12 (or equivalency) taken in Canada with a final grade of ‘C’ (or better).
  • Four years of full-time study at a school that is located in a country where English is the language of instruction with a final-year average grade of ‘C’ (or better).
  • International Baccalaureate English A1/A2 or English Literature and Performance with a final grade of ‘3’ (or better).
  • 3-credit academic English course with a final grade of ‘C’ (or better).
  • 30 credits of academic post-secondary studies in a country where English is the language of instruction with a CGPA of 2.00 (or better).

UAP Grant UAP Grant is offered by special arrangement and is intended to provide tuition support for students in the University Access Program.

European Grant

  • Amount: From CAD$12,771 to CAD$25,578
  • Requirements: The student must commence their program before their offer for admission expires. The student must not change programs. Middle East Regional Grant

  • Amount: From CAD$9,450 to CAD$18,900
  • Requirements: The student must commence their program before their offer for admission expires. The student must not change programs. The student must maintain a full-time enrolment status.

Academic Excellence

  • Amount: From CAD$2,000 to CAD$8,000
  • Requirements: This award is open to international applicants who have excellent academic achievement on their qualification used as their basis for admission.
