St. Francis Xavier University (StFX) is located in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada, next to the Atlantic Ocean. StFX is home to 4,200 undergraduate students. The University is organized into the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Education, the Gerald Schwartz School of Business, and the Coady International Institute.
Nearly 90% of first-year students, and 50% of all StFX students live on campus. Their campus has a wide range of facilities, including a live theater, a pharmacy, five dining venues, a gym, and a campus bookstore. Over one-third of students are employed part-time on campus, and students organize and participate in 100 clubs and societies.
The University has a strong athletics program with almost 100 regional and national championships. They offer a range of sports including basketball, cross country, ice hockey, soccer and track and field.

Life as an international student
StFX welcomes students from around the world to Antigonish each year. The nation's best Office of Internationalization is the hub for information and support for students coming to study in Canada from overseas.
International students who are beginning their studies at StFX are asked to attend the International Student Orientation. The orientation aims to provide students who are new to Canada with the information they’ll need to settle into life there. The Orientation program includes airport welcome, residence move in, campus and local tours, introduction to the International Student Society and fellow international students.

St. Francis Xavier University provides over $4 million in scholarships and financial aid to students each year. In fact, students with an admissions average of 85% and over are guaranteed an entrance scholarship worth at least $5,000.

- Recipients of the scholarship must live in residence for their first year of study

- $8,000/yr renewable for 4 yrs
- All 1st-year, full-time undergraduate BBA students enrolling from high school
- Minimum 85% average and demonstrated StFX qualities of leadership and service to the community – Open to non-Canadian residents.
