Fees and funding
University education is one of the biggest investments in yourself and your career. Tuition fees at the University of Essex Online are the same for all students (in the UK and international) and include all teaching materials and required reading – there aren't any hidden charges for assessments or resits.

- Foundation certificate: from £19,400 to £21,410 per year
- International Year One: from £19,950 to £21,440 per year
- Pre-masters: from £21,310 to £21,700 per year
- Online programs: from £4,143 to £19,425 per year
Funding
International Scholarship A scholarship of £3000 is available depending on the program, subject to both English proficiency scores and academic performance
Anniversary Scholarship
- Amount: 10% scholarship on all our Masters programs
- Requirements: Over the next 12 months, the University of Essex will be marking 60 years since it first opened its doors to students. To celebrate this milestone, we’re offering a 10% scholarship
Full payment discount
- Amount: Discount of 5% for students starting their course
- Requirements: Pay for your undergraduate or postgraduate course up-front. This is only applicable to students studying online and does not apply to students studying on campus. The full payment discount can be used in combination with the alumni discount or any scholarship.
Alumni discount
- Amount: 10% alumni discount on your tuition fees
- Requirements: If you are a previous graduate with the University of Essex or University of Essex Online, we’ll award you a discount on your postgraduate tuition fees when you continue your studies to Masters level. This is only applicable to students studying online and does not apply to students studying on campus. The alumni discount can be used with the full payment discount but not in conjunction with any other discount or scholarship.
