    "This Accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program is designed to produce health care professionals who have the basic technical and theoretical skills to work in health care laboratories.


    Our simulation labs and enhanced practicum and learning experiences will prepare you to enter the workforce and start making a difference in the lives of others. You will be trained to collect, process, and prepare patient specimens, enter data, perform clerical and reception services, perform electrocardiograms and urinalysis and carry out basic laboratory procedures. "

    Undergraduate academic requirements

    • In order to gain admission into an RDP program, international applicants must also meet the academic program requirements. A secondary education diploma is mandatory for most cases. Information may vary per program.
    • International applicants must meet English language proficiency requirements.

    English proficiency

    • IELTS: 6.5, Reading 5.5, Writing 5.5, Listening 5.5, Speaking 5.5
    • TOEFL iBT: 83
    • PTE Academic: 59, Reading 56, Writing 56, Listening 56, Speaking 56
    • CAEL: 60 with at least 55 on each band score
    • Duolingo: 115

    All English Language Proficiency tests must have been obtained within two years of start date of program.

    English proficiency waivers

    • Applicants who declare English as first language are exempt from English Language Proficiency requirements.
    • Applicants applying to the Academic Upgrading program are not required to demonstrate English Language Proficiency at the levels noted for credit programs. Placement assessments are used for admission to these programs.

    • An athletic award is a monetary sum provided to Student-Athletes with the condition of being a member of a RDP Athletic Team. The maximum dollar value you can receive in athletic recruitment awards is the total amount of tuition and compulsory fees for the academic year.
