Undergraduate academic requirements

  • At least 11 years of high school/secondary education for Foundation Certificate courses
  • At least 12 years of high school/secondary education for International Year One courses

English proficiency

Foundation Certificate and International Year One

  • UKVI IELTS 4.0 to 5.5 (or accepted equivalent)

Pre-Master’s

  • UKVI IELTS 4.5 to 5.5 (or accepted equivalent)

Documents required

  • Copies of your passport and any previous UK visas 
  • UKVI-approved Secure English Language Test (SELT) certificate or accepted equivalent 
  • Academic transcripts (plus certified translations if the original transcripts are not in English)

  • Eligibility: Foundation Certificate or IYO courses leading to a BU undergraduate degree
  • Amount: £2,500 for one year of an undergraduate degree

Academic Excellence Scholarship (PG)

  • Eligibility: Pre-Master‘s leading to a BU postgraduate degree
  • Amount: £3,500 for one year of a postgraduate degree
