The University of Utah’s Interdisciplinary Certificate in Health Communication will prepare you for an exciting career in the field as you study how communication about health is co-created, transmitted, received, constructed, and circulated in various contexts. The U is the primary institution for educating health providers and ancillary professionals in the state of Utah, ensuring that you will receive the training you need to provide clear and effective health communication. The curriculum includes courses on health communication and education; electives in fields such as communication, health promotion, and family & preventive medicine are also available, allowing students to choose coursework that best complements their interests and strengths."

    Undergraduate academic requirements

    • Students should be completing or have completed their secondary education (high school) and have not yet attended any post-secondary institution (college or university). If you have taken AP, IB or A-level coursework and received college credit, you will still apply as a freshman as long as you have not previously enrolled in another accredited post-secondary institution (college or university).

    Funding

    President's Scholarship

    University merit scholarships at The U provide funding to help cover a portion of or all tuition and mandatory fees for students enrolled full-time. Based on unweighted, cumulative GPA at the time of application. The President's Scholarship award is up to $14,000 towards tuition for each academic year.
