What LeTourneau University says about their program:
"In today's working world, writing skills have become a precious commodity. According to a report from the National Commission on Writing, writing is a "threshold skill" for hiring salaried employees. At LETU, we know the value of effective communication, and we make sure our English students do too.
However, the Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature is more than just a "reading and writing" program. English majors at LETU hone the fine art of expressing ideas, of crafting words and phrases, in a way that speaks to other people.
English is more than syntax and Shakespeare. It's also a significant study of communication concepts and culture that prepares students to meet the critical need for effective human interaction in every workplace in every nation."
