"Emergency Medical Services includes paramedics, advanced emergency medical technicians and emergency medical technicians who collaborate with physicians to optimize acute care of the sick and injured. Emergency medicine encompasses the prevention, treatment and transport of the sick and injured. This program includes formal instruction in areas such as injury/illness prevention, assessment of injury/illness, human anatomy and physiology, and the management of incidents and Emergency Medical Services. Classroom learning is enhanced through clinical education experiences with the opportunity to become an Emergency Medical Technician after successful completion of specific courses in the first year.
In this program, you will have the unique opportunity to study and develop in an interdisciplinary environment with faculty and peers in the nursing and health services programs. This environment will prepare you for the cooperative care that is expected in the work setting between first responders, ER staff and continuing care staff. You will participate in scenario-based simulations that will provide exceptional training and require use of management and medical skills."

Pinncle Academic Scholarship - Merit based scholarships Average amount - US$3,000 - $12,000 per year
Athletic Scholarship - Based upon athletic performance and ability at the discretion of the coaches
Elizabeth McRae Scholarship: Awarded by Lees-McRae, this scholarship covers full tuition for a full-time student. Two scholarships are available for freshmen entering the college in the fall semester. Recipients are chosen from all students invited to attend Scholars Day—an event in the spring that includes an interview and essay competition, with the top two performers selected as recipients. The scholarship is renewable for four years as long as the recipient(s) maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Amount - US$26,490 per year
Honors Program Scholarship: Awarded to students who qualify for and participate in the Honors Program Amount: US$2,000 per year
Humanities Scholarship: The Lees-McRae Humanities Scholarship is designed to assist incoming undergraduate students on the main campus planning to major in English, history, or religious studies. Two students will be selected to receive a $2,000 scholarship that is renewable as long as the student remains enrolled at Lees-McRae. The student must remain in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA and have declared a humanities major of English, history, or religious studies. Amount: US$2,000 per year
Theater Arts Scholarship: Available to students interested in all areas of theatre arts, scholarships range from $1,000–$5,000 and require an audition or interview. Amount: US$1,000 - $5,000 per year
