What Western Washington University says about their program:
"The faculty and staff of the Computer Science Department are dedicated to training and preparing students to become computer scientists. We believe that computer science has been and will continue to contribute greatly to all disciplines of study and world economy.
Students in the Accelerated Computer Science BS/MS program begin their graduate work as undergraduate Computer Science Honors students. Core courses are taken during the senior year, and count toward both the BS and MS degrees. The MS can then be completed in one year with 36-37 additional credits.
We provide a high quality education to prepare students for productive careers in industry, academia, and government in a nourishing environment for teaching, learning, and research in the theory and applications of computing. This training is offered under the direction of the Graduate School at Western Washington University."
Admission to Western is selective. Cumulative academic achievement is the most important factor in the application review process. Level and difficulty of courses, grade trends, school and community involvement, special talents, strength of character, and personal circumstances are also considered.

International students are not eligible for financial aid and must provide verification of funding for one year of expenses. If an international student is hired as a Teaching Assistant (TA), the compensation for the TA (stipend and waiver) can be used to offset some of the financial documentation required for the visa processing. However, TA compensation will not cover all costs of attendance.
Many international students will require a visa to study in the US, and this is a vital step of your study abroad journey. Make sure you understand the requirements you may need to meet before applying.
