The Undergraduate Foundation Programme in Business, Economics, Accounting & Real Estate will prepare you for undergraduate study in a related field at Aberdeen. Equivalent to the first year of a four-year Scottish degree, our pathway programme gives you the start you need to graduate in the same amount of time as a domestic student.


This three-term programme has been designed to complement your university studies by introducing you to the learning culture of Aberdeen, all whilst helping you settle into life in the UK. You will study a range of modules, both academic and language based, to gain the skills you need for academic success at university. After completing your Undergraduate Foundation Programme and achieving the necessary grades, you can transition to the second year of your chosen undergraduate degree. Undergraduate degrees at the University of Aberdeen are referred to as Masters of Arts, or MA degrees. "

Undergraduate academic requirements

  • Applicants to bachelor’s degree programs must have good high school graduate grades or equivalent.
  • Please note: For our Life Sciences pathway, you will also need to have studied Chemistry and one other Science or Maths subject. For the Physical Sciences and Engineering pathway, Maths and/or Physics may also be required.

English proficiency

Funding

Undergraduate pathway students

  • The University of Aberdeen is offering progression scholarships to students who achieve a grade B (equivalent to at least 68%) in their undergraduate pathway programme. This scholarship will be available up to the value of £2,500 each year of your undergraduate degree, following your transition to the University.
  • The scholarship is available to self-funded students at the International Study Centre, on any undergraduate pathway.
