In the advanced design studios, you’ll learn how to be an agent of change by responding to critical issues within the global context of 21st-century urbanism.
The MSAUD is a program at the forefront of urban design research focused on issues of urbanization through the exploration of social, cultural, technological, and environmental domains. Gain a global perspective on urbanism through the study of iconic New York City and diverse urban metropolitan regions around the world. The MSAUD builds on your existing professional degree in architecture, landscape or urban design. While studying in New York City, you’ll connect with organizations, institutions, stakeholders, and the larger community throughout the metropolitan area. You’ll also develop a global perspective on urbanism through international travel and project work. Recent sites have included Paris, Naples, Milan, and Shanghai."

Funding
First-Year Scholarships First-year students are considered for scholarships based on the strength of their applications. Students who apply to New York Tech without SAT/ACT scores will be eligible for scholarships. You may qualify for a first-year scholarship based on your GPA, average, and strength of your application.

Postgraduate Scholarships
Graduate Scholar Award (GSA)
- Amount: Up to US$3,000 per year
- This award recognizes the talents of entering graduate students who have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement. It consists of up to US$3,000 per-year tuition-only credit for a maximum of three years (six semesters) of continuous full-time enrollment (nine credits). Proration may be available for applicants taking less than nine graduate level credits per semester, but you must register for at least three graduate level credits per semester for this proration.
MBA Entrance Scholarship
- Amount: US$6,000 and application fee waiver
- Requirements: The scholarship aims to recognize academic excellence, leadership potential, and commitment to their field of study
