Our range of specialist creative and artistic modules have been designed to reflect the ever-evolving and diverse requirements placed upon the contemporary actor.


During our vocational and practically focused course, you will experience a wide variety of actor training methodologies and approaches to ensure you graduate as a flexible and adaptable artist, ready to embrace our multi-media profession.


You will undertake an intensive programme of technical development that will include in-depth training in acting for theatre, film, TV and recorded media.


Through our optional modules, you will also have the opportunity to create a bespoke pathway of learning that allows you time to explore your specific areas of interest.


Our vibrant and innovative course continuously develops your individual artistry; performance opportunities may include short films, documentaries, music videos, radio drama, community theatre, contemporary and classical plays, plus the opportunity to take part in our college podcast which will be available on Spotify and iTunes.

Admissions Requirements

Undergraduate academic requirements

  • At BIMM Institute, most of our undergraduate performance degree courses require a minimum of 32 UCAS points or two A-Levels or equivalent
  • Non-performance degree courses require a minimum of 64 UCAS points or two A-Levels at grade C or equivalent
  • We accept other qualifications such as BTEC, International Baccalaureate Diplomas and Certificates and European Baccalaureate which are equivalent to UCAS tariff points.

English proficiency

Undergraduate programs:

  • IELTS: Min. 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in each element
  • TOEFL (iBT): Min. 72 overall with 18 in Reading, 17 in Writing, 17 in Listening and 20 in Speaking
  • PTE Academic: Min. 50 overall with no less than 42 in each element
  • Cambridge Advanced Certificate in English (CAE): 170 overall with 165 in each component
  • Trinity ISE 2: Pass with Merit

Postgraduate programs:

  • IELTS: Min 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in each element
  • TOEFL (iBT): Min. 83 overall with 19 in Reading, 24 in Writing, 20 in Listening and 20 in Speaking
  • PTE Academic: Min. 58 overall with no less than 50 in each element
  • Cambridge Advanced Certificate in English (CAE): 170 overall with 165 in each component
  • Trinity ISE 2: Pass with Distinction

Funding

Early Confirmation Scholarship

Amount: £2,000 To be eligible for the early confirmation scholarship, you must:

  • Be an overseas applicant ineligible for home fee status
  • Apply and receive an offer to study at BIMM Institute UK colleges from 2023/24
  • Accept your offer
  • Pay your deposit on or before 15th June
  • The scholarship will automatically be deducted from your fees when you enrol
