How to study in Vilnius

To study a bachelor’s program in Vilnius, you must have a School Leaving Certificate or Secondary Education Diploma. If you’re hoping to study a master’s program, you should already have a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

If you want to pursue an English-taught international program, you might need to prove your language skills. Most universities accept the TOEFL or IELTS English language tests, but some institutions have their own proficiency tests.

If you’re a non-EU citizen, you can begin applying for a Lithuanian student visa once you’ve received formal confirmation of your university place. EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens can study in Lithuania without obtaining a visa.
