Our planet needs woodland ecology and conservation graduates to secure a sustainable future, and so, we’ve designed this course for people like you. You’ll learn the science and art of conserving and sustainably managing trees, woods and forests at the National School of Forestry on our Ambleside campus in the heart of the Lake District National Park. You won’t just learn about it though, you’ll be doing it by exploring the woodlands on your doorstep, meeting the hosts who look after them and undertake surveys to understand them.

  • Applicants will require a Bachelor's degree
  • Background education in the subject
  • Entry requirements for Masters degrees and PGCEs usually ask for a degree which for some programmes may need to be in a relevant subject area and/or at a minimum award classification.

Cumbria Global Scholarships

- **Amount:** The University of Cumbria is offering an international fee discount scholarship of up to £2,000 per year of study. - **Requirements/Eligibility:** This is available to most Non-EU and Non-EEA international students enrolling with us in the academic year 2023/24.
