£1,000 discount on the cost of tuition fees for the first year of study
You must have received and accepted an offer to study on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course at University College Birmingham starting in the current or upcoming academic year – part-time courses, distance learning courses or other levels of study are not eligible. You must have overseas international student status and be paying overseas international rate tuition fees. You must have paid your 50% tuition fee deposit to the University. This scholarship is available to students during the first year of study only.
High Achievers Scholarship University College Birmingham provides a scholarship scheme for international undergraduate students who can demonstrate high academic attainment. Open to applications from international students starting a full-time course at undergraduate level (e.g. BA/BSc degree courses), the High Achievers Scholarship offers a discount on the first year of your tuition fees. Applicants who have achieved an academic score of at least 70% are eligible for the scholarship. Discounts are awarded on a scale linked to your level of academic achievement, ranging from £3,000 to a full waiver of your first year tuition fee.

Sustainable Development Award Are you passionate about sustainability? This special scholarship programme has been developed for our international postgraduate students who can demonstrate a commitment to sustainable development.
£4,000 discount on your tuition fee
Our Sustainable Development Award is open for applications from new international students starting on a full-time postgraduate course (e.g. MA/MSc courses). Successful applicants will be required to report to a panel during their studies on how they are continuing to prioritise sustainability in their academic work, extracurricular engagement and post-study plans. You may also be asked to contribute towards sustainability initiatives within the University, such as assisting at events, talks or marketing activities connected to our sustainable objectives.
Early Payment Discount
£500 off your tuition fees
International students entering the first year of a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course at the University will receive a £500 discount on the cost of their tuition fees if these are paid in full and received into UCB account prior to our EPD deadline. The fee discount will then be applied at your enrolment. The payment deadline will depend upon when your course is due to commence. For students starting in September, the deadline is 30 August. For students starting in February, the deadline is 31 January.
