The Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences is an undergraduate degree at the University of New Mexico, taught by the College of Pharmacy. Applicants must meet the admission requirements of both the Pharm.D. programme and the university.

Students may apply for the undergraduate degree after their first year of pharmacy study. The College of Pharmacy also offers a research and development track for students who do not intend to become pharmacists but want to work in the pharmaceutical sciences field.

Graduates gain broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical and related sciences, an understanding of drug discovery, development and commercialization, and strong written and oral communication skills. The degree totals 120 credit hours and can lead to work in research and development, product formulation and manufacturing, clinical research, and pharmacokinetics.

  • International undergraduate applicants must submit official transcripts together with the secondary school leaving certificate or examination results recognised in their home country.
