Using our specialist technical resources, you learn how to create, produce, mix and master stereo and surround recordings in our recording studios. And you get to play instruments too – with electric guitars, acoustic and electronic drum kits, amplifiers, and other related sound equipment. You can also break out into making music podcasts.
You graduate with a broad range of experience, knowledge, understanding and skills appropriate to music production. You develop your unique creative voice and produce professional portfolios in both music and sound production in your individual specialism, enhancing your employability. A merit-based scholarship worth £2,000 as a fee waiver for the first full academic year of study. Open to full-time, international fee-paying students on foundation, undergraduate, or postgraduate programmes studying on-campus at Middlesbrough or Darlington (online and overseas-campus programmes excluded). Awarded automatically to eligible applicants who demonstrate strong academic performance; no separate application required.
A prestigious award of up to 30 scholarships worth £7,000 each, allocated as a fee waiver in the first year of study. Open to outstanding international fee-paying undergraduate and postgraduate applicants studying on-campus in Middlesbrough or Darlington who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential via a personal statement (online and overseas-campus programmes excluded).
