This PCC fund provides emergency financial assistance of up to $500 specifically to international students in active F-1 visa status who are currently enrolled and either employed on campus or have applied for on-campus work. It is designed to help cover sudden, unexpected costs such as accidents, medical bills, urgent housing changes, or loss of a job, situations F-1 students often cannot cover because they are barred from federal financial aid (FAFSA). Because eligibility is limited to F-1 international undergraduates enrolled at PCC, it directly targets the international student population; funds are limited and distributed first come, first served.
The PCC Foundation awards hundreds of partial scholarships each year to current PCC students to help cover tuition, fees, and books. The application explicitly accommodates students who cannot file a FAFSA: PCC states that "if you are an international student or not eligible to complete the FAFSA, complete the financial worksheet for international students" and submit it in place of the FAFSA/ORSAA, confirming that international undergraduates may apply on the same basis as domestic students. Applicants submit two short essays on career goals and personal strengths; awards are based on academic history, writing skills, and past experiences rather than citizenship status. The 2026-27 cycle opens November 1, 2026 and closes February 1, 2027, with award notifications in June and funds available for the following Fall term.
