Our BBA specialisation in Sport Business Management, part of the Hospitality Business Administration (HBA) pathway, is for students who are passionate about sport and want to gain management and leadership skills in this expanding and exciting industry.

Your study will focus on business principles in the field of sport, an area that is growing in its importance and impact nationally and globally. The sports industry employs hundreds of thousands of people worldwide, providing graduate career opportunities in a wide range of sports-related businesses and organisations.

Combining practical experience with academic study will help fully equip you with a broad understanding of the international and commercial aspects of the sport business industry. You will gain the business management and leadership skills that employers have told us they are looking for in our students.

Undergraduate academic requirements

  • In the Netherlands, universities and universities of applied sciences are required to consider applications from students who have completed high school to the level that enables them to apply to university in their own country, and the Admissions Office has overviews of all high school qualifications from different countries that allow entry into the bachelor's program. The high school diploma must be equivalent to the Dutch qualifications. Our Admissions Team will carry out the Diploma Verification for you.
  • Students who have a gap of more than 5 years between their high school graduation and their application for a bachelor programme at WUAS, will not be taken into consideration for an application to the bachelor degree due to the validity of the high school degree.

Postgraduate academic requirements

  • Master of Business Management (MSc)

  • A bachelor's degree from the domain of business management, economics or trade. In their bachelor's degree, applicants must have completed an academic piece of work (final project or dissertation) that demonstrates a degree of academic writing and research experience.

  • Applicants are requested to provide an academic reference from their previous education institute.

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)

  • A bachelor's degree

  • Applicants are requested to provide a work reference from the previous company they worked at.

Holland Scholarship

Wittenborg is one of the universities of applied sciences and research universities offering a Holland Scholarship. Every year, a number of talented international students will receive the opportunity to do a bachelor's or master' degree in the Netherlands.

Amount: Each will receive a financial contribution of €5,000 towards their studies, in the form of a fee reduction for the first year of study (BBA) or the whole study program (MSc/MBA).

Requirements: In addition to normal admission requirements:

  • GPA requirement 7.5
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (for MSc) and High School (for BBA)

Wittenborg MBA Holland Scholarship

Wittenborg offers excellent students from outside the European Union the chance to study on one of its Master of Business Administration programs (specializations), through the Wittenborg MBA Scholarship program.

Amount: 10 Scholarships of 5,000 euros each for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in all specializations, every calendar year.

Requirements:

  • IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 90
  • GPA requirement 7.5
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
  • Work experience minimum of 3 years' work experience is a requirement (references required)
