This program examines global and local threats to public safety and prepares the students to assume management and leadership roles in the field. The leadership and communication skills developed in the program are designed to minimize the negative impact of any of the crises that are encountered. The program provides both an education and a skill set that can move a student further up their career ladder. Students learn to develop emergency action plans, perform hazard analyses, create community response plans, and enable mass care operations. Graduates are provided with the knowledge and skills to serve in many roles in the emergency management and homeland domain.

International Student's Scholarship

Scholarships in the amounts of $4,000, $8,000, and $16,000 per academic year are available and are merit-based. Applicants are automatically considered for a scholarship when admitted and notifications will be included in the admission letter. The scholarships are renewable annually during the course of a student's full-time enrollment but do not include summers.
