The Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering is offered by the Department of Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, and Construction Management in the School of Engineering at the University of New Mexico. The degree requires 122 credit hours.

The programme is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET under the General Criteria and the Construction Engineering Program Criteria. Required study covers engineering statics, mechanics of materials, structural analysis, soil mechanics, construction methods and equipment, construction scheduling, cost estimating and construction law.

Students also take construction safety, project controls, engineering economy and the design of civil engineering systems, together with technical electives.
