The Theatre School’s four-year Acting program focuses on expanding your range of knowledge and expression of performance—providing you with skills and techniques to improve acting, movement, voice and speech abilities. With hundreds of theatres in Chicago, you’ll have the opportunity to attend performances on a regular basis and take classes from distinguished and award-winning faculty members who bring together experience and expertise.

  • Official high school transcripts with a GPA of 2.75

Postgraduate academic requirements

  • Each graduate program establishes its own application and admission standards, and deadlines. Pathway GPA requires a 2.3 to 2.75 GPA; Direct Entry requires a 2.5 to 4.0 GPA

English proficiency

Undergraduate

  • TOEFL 80 on the IBT TOEFL with no subsection lower than 17 or IELTS Academic 6.5

Graduate

  • TOEFL score of 80 (ibt) with all section scores at 17 or higher, or an IELTS score of 6.5, or a Duolingo English Test score of 115 and above, or a Pearson Test of English (PTE) score of 53.

Global Gateway Program Scholarships

Undergraduates are eligible for multiple scholarships when they apply to DePaul University’s Global Gateway Program.

For level GGP (3-, 4-, or 5-Quarter)
