Student reviews for pharmacology in the USA
I am currently a second year PharmD student at MCPHS. The course is well organized, and it helps me to discover more about the Pharmacy field and explore the different. The professors are friendly, and they are easy to talk to. The contents of the classes go very in depth into the topics, so there are great opportunities to learn a lot from the courses.
To be honest, the PharmD curriculum is a little stressful. There will be at least one exam per week for one and a half to two months in the middle of the semesters. However, these are not unacceptable. After all, PharmD is a clinical major. We will take the responsibility of the patients.
Seeing as though I am only a first year candidate for Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program, the structure of the curriculum is as expected. The program's courses are set up in a way that is meant to gradually guide its students to understand more complex concepts while simultaneously providing them with real-life experience. The professors make the lectures manageable to follow along with and they are always willing to provide extra help/support when needed. Keeping up with the course loads and work, as well as social life, has been less difficult than I had initially thought. As long as you manage your time wisely and make choices that will ultimately help you, you will be able balance your school life and outside life perfectly fine.
I am a graduate student at MCPHS pursuing my Masterâs in Pharmacology. The course structure is well designed and extremely detailed and focused on receptor, cancer and neuropharmacology rather than including general bachelors subject which we do not need to know in detail. You will truly study pharmacology in depth when you plan to complete your graduate studies here at MCPHS. The faculty are really helpful and the research opportunities are vast.
For Pharm D students, the course structure is well designed. There is also merit-based scholarship available in MCPHS which is helpful for international students!
