Life at Budapest University of Economics and Business
BUEB is a global student community of more than 1,400 international students from 95 nationalities. To celebrate its diversity, the University hosts various cultural and social events throughout the year, including welcome days, international dinners, and seasonal celebrations.
Sports are popular at BUEB. The Faculty of International Management and Business features a 280-square-metre gym for activities such as basketball, volleyball, aerobics, and table tennis, as well as additional fitness and martial arts rooms. Students also benefit from discounts to a nearby pool, tennis courts, and football field, and have free access to a running track. The University regularly organizes tournaments, and its athletes compete in the national competitions of the Hungarian University and College Championship (MEFOB).
BUEB provides extensive support for international students. The Student Success Office offers academic coaching and counseling, including mental health support. The mentorship program pairs new international students with senior students to help you settle into Hungary and at the university, and BUEB’s Brand Ambassadors welcome and guide you during orientation week. There are also English-speaking staff available to assist with immigration matters, including visas and housing.
