Visual Communications is an undergraduate programme at Syracuse University. It introduces you to the key ideas, methods and applications of Visual Communications, combining subject knowledge with practical and transferable skills. You will study the subject in a supportive academic environment and build a foundation for further study or related careers.

The English proficiency exam requirement may be waived in certain situations at the discretion of the Admissions Committee. Your supporting documentation will be reviewed to determine your qualifications for a waiver. If approved, it will be reflected accordingly on your application checklist in your applicant portal.
The Admissions Committee reserves the right to request an English language exam if they feel this information is needed in reviewing the application. Students enrolled in a bilingual or non-English curriculum will be required to submit proof of English proficiency. Waiver approval is not guaranteed, and we strongly recommend you take an English proficiency exam as part of the application process if your first language is not English.
Waivers will be processed at the time the application is received for the following:
First-year Students
Attending and graduating from in-person secondary schools based in the United States for at least three full academic years (Grades 10-12).
Transfer Students
Have completed at least 24 credits in person at a post-secondary institution in the United States. Students must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, excluding ESL curriculum.
