The Baccalauréat en statistique et science des données, a Bachelor of Science programme at Université Laval and the only one of its kind taught in French in Quebec, teaches students to collect, analyse and model real-world data. The programme combines theory, grounded in mathematics and probability, with practical training in modern computing tools, including AI, to collect, visualise, analyse and model data. Students choose a concentration in either statistics or data science and complete a capstone project in their final year using real data from university research or industry.

  • International applicants must hold a diploma attesting to 13 years of education equivalent to the Québec Diploma of College Studies (DCS), such as a French baccalaureate or a General Certificate of Education with three A Levels.
  • Applicants whose diploma represents only 12 years of education must complete an additional qualifying year of coursework before starting the undergraduate program.
