The Slavic Department at the University of Chicago has a long-standing reputation as one of the major research programs in the field.
We teach Bosnian/ Croatian/ Serbian, Bulgarian, Czech, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian, as well as a wide variety of cultural and literary studies of the region. Students interested in the program are encouraged to consult with the Director of Undergraduate Studies.
