This concentration provides graduates with the advanced skills and knowledge to assume the role of Adult/Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with an emphasis on responding to calls from adolescents, adults, and older adults. The Adult/Gerontological Nurse Practitioner Concentration curriculum requires a total of 49 credit hours. The program follows a part-time format of study only. The curriculum contains a minimum of 600 hours of required clinical practice. Attainment of competencies may require more than 600 hours. Placements may occur in health department clinics, private practice offices, home health agencies, community-based health centers, hospitals, long-term care institutions, and other settings providing health care to adolescents, adults, and older adults.

  • Minimum equivalent GPA of C on a scale of A to F or 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for all transferable courses

    5 out of 10 in Brazil. If there are less than 60 transferable credits, high school transcripts and SAT/ACT scores must be submitted.

  • Must be in good academic standing at your previous institution.
  • Must submit official transcripts from ALL institutions attended.

Postgraduate academic requirements

  • Minimum equivalent GPA of B on a scale of A to F or 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Applicant should achieve the Bachillerato Academico or Certificado de Educacion Superior and submit final official transcripts
