Our graduate program helps students who wish to enter into a career in physics or who wish to continue on to earn their PhD. Students have access to our research facilities to help guide their studies such as, among other things, a cryogenics laboratory, atomic force microscope, scanning electron microscope and high vacuum equipment, an observatory with five research grade telescopes, and an environmental sensing and quantum optics laboratory with radiometric instruments and a variety of lasers.

Office of International Programs Scholarship This scholarship is awarded annually to students who will contribute to the increased diversity for international representation at SFA. Students who receive the OIP Scholarship are eligible for Texas resident tuition rates, which cost approximately $4,500 less per semester.

Mexico out-of-state tuition waiver program As a result of the North American Free Trade Agreement, two students from Mexico per 1,000 students enrolled at SFA are eligible to pay in-state tuition and fees (with 12,000 students at SFA, 24 students from Mexico would be entitled to receive this tuition waiver). Students accepted into this financial aid program must sign a financial need statement.
