Further your knowledge and expertise of chemistry and biochemistry with a Master of Science in natural and applied sciences with an emphasis in chemistry. This degree is offered by the College of Sciences and Mathematics as a whole, but participants focus primarily on chemistry courses.
This specialized training will give the credentials often needed to teach high school or community college chemistry. The master’s degree also prepares you to conduct research in industrial and commercial settings or continue with doctoral studies in chemistry or biochemistry.

Students educated and earning a diploma or degree in these countries at the secondary or post-secondary level in English will be exempt from additional English language testing.

Office of International Programs Scholarship This scholarship is awarded annually to students who will contribute to the increased diversity for international representation at SFA. Students who receive the OIP Scholarship are eligible for Texas resident tuition rates, which cost approximately $4,500 less per semester.

Student whose native language is not English, who has lived in a country other than the United States for a period of five years or more or a student who has foreign or dual citizenship recognized by the foreign country and not by the United States.
Mexico out-of-state tuition waiver program As a result of the North American Free Trade Agreement, two students from Mexico per 1,000 students enrolled at SFA are eligible to pay in-state tuition and fees (with 12,000 students at SFA, 24 students from Mexico would be entitled to receive this tuition waiver). Students accepted into this financial aid program must sign a financial need statement.
