What Princeton University says about their program:
Music is an undergraduate programme at Princeton University. The Department of Music is a vibrant scholarly and artistic community that supports the study of music from multiple perspectives and celebrates the power of music to transcend conventional disciplinary boundaries. Some of our students express their passion for music through composition, some through performance, while still others are drawn to doing research about music. In all cases, we provide students with an opportunity to explore diverse styles and traditions, to follow their interests, and experiment with new ideas. Music majors can approach the study of music through the lens of anthropology, literature, religion, theater, sociology, psychology, computer science, history, classics…the possibility space is expansive.
