In the Mass Communication program at Colorado Mesa University, our main goal is to offer students an opportunity to develop the knowledge, theory and skills that will assist them in securing employment in the broad field of Mass Communication or help them prepare for graduate studies. The program was revised in 2011 to provide expanded courses and flexibility.

The new Bachelor of Arts degree is titled "Media Strategies and Applications." The degree allows students to focus on their interests and career goals by combining aspects of Journalism, Broadcasting, Public Relations, and New Media. The CMU program is large enough to offer more than thirty courses, yet small enough to provide individualized instruction.
